What You Will Do
Within Flex Financial, a Division of Stryker Sales, LLC, the Lead Syndication Analyst establishes and maintains relationships with external loan syndication/funding bank partners, coordinates syndication efforts, works with assigned Regional Financial Manager, Stryker Business Unit Sales Representative, and other departments within Flex on syndication deal structures and provides documentation negotiation support. You will be directly involved in the coordination of underwriting and decisioning of lease transaction with Lending Partners, provide detailed analysis of customer financial data and industry trends for leases to be held by Stryker as well as perform other credit investigations including direct customer interviews as necessary. You will maintain relationships with outside funding sources to ensure transactions are funded quickly and efficiently.
Responsibilities may include:
- Perform necessary credit investigation to either render a final credit decision or prepare credit packages for submittal to lending partners
- Develop and maintain relationships with partner banks in order to facilitate loan participations
- Help to drive decisions on which lending partners would be best fit for the subject participation
- Negotiation of credit documents with lending partners
- Screen potential business deals by analyzing deal requirements and financials
- Works with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs
- Provide operational support and assist in syndication funding and tracking of transaction pipeline
- Identify and oversee implementation of new initiatives to further the development of a robust and scalable end to end syndications business
- Serve as a primary interface with Stryker Sales, Regional Managers, customers, and funding sources on day-to-day credit operations
- Serve as pro-active strategic partner for internal sales teams to help maximize positive customer outcomes
- Meet and exceed all service-level and business metrics for the areas of responsibility
- Provide various reports as needed for business performance management
- Ensure accuracy of proposed structures and finance pricing by verifying the proposed structure, finance discounts and transaction pricing is accurate and acceptable to lending partners
- Assist internal Stryker Flex Financial group obtain final purchase orders from lending partners
- Manage the flow of the transactions as a central point of contact between Stryker Flex Financial internal and external sales force and lending partners
- Assure Stryker Corporation funded transactions are within terms of its vendor partner program agreements
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related discipline required
- Completion of formal bank or corporate credit training program preferred
- Master’s Degree in Finance or Business Administration is preferred
- 7+ years of commercial underwriting and or credit analysis experience within a bank or leasing organization required
- Loan or lease structuring experience preferred
- Previous credit authority delegation of $200k is preferred
- Experience in the Healthcare/Medical Industry is preferred
- Knowledge of legal terms for all lease and finance type structures ideal
- Knowledge of D&B, PayNet, and Corporation Service Company ideal
- Proven expertise with software accounting and tracking systems
- The ability to review and approve documentation for lease and finance transactions
$65,400 – $132,300 salary plus bonus eligible + Benefits (Health, Vision, Dental, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Assistance Program, Wellbeing Program, Employee Stock Purchase Program). This information reflects the anticipated salary range for this position based on current national data. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
