Qualifications/Requirements
- Ability to self-start and work in a challenging environment by navigating ambiguity and bringing structure.
- Strong problem-solving skills using first principles.
- Prior internship experience in a relevant quantitative field (e.g., Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, AI, Engineering) is a plus.
- Expertise in Python with strong coding skills, especially in data science and computer vision libraries/frameworks such as OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-image.
- Experience in data wrangling and analyzing large, complex datasets, both structured and unstructured.
- Proven track record of building computer vision models for tasks such as image classification, object detection, segmentation, and image generation through projects or internships.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams with high levels of collaboration.
- Fundamental knowledge of Explainable AI and decoding black-box models.
- Proficiency in data visualization.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and challenge the status quo when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to all stages of computer vision projects, from translating complex business problems into computer vision problems, to performing data analysis and modeling, and providing solutions to the business.
- Work closely with the computer vision team on fast-moving projects involving research and development within image recognition, visual search, and other computer vision applications relevant to the fashion and retail industry.
- Collaborate closely with leadership, engineering, and other stakeholders including product managers, business teams, and customer success teams to deliver impactful business insights.
