Title: Associate Engineer – Cloud Recovery Operations

Location: Pune/Bangalore
Job Purpose Statement
As an Associate Engineer & technical contributor in the ‘Cloud Recovery’ team you will be required to work in a 24×7 operations model and be responsible for working with Sungard’s customers in a collaborative and consultative manner to develop, document and implement complex DR solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Developing and validating solution architectures that will enable Sungard’s customers to protect their existing environment using various technologies and recover the VMs in the appropriate RTO/RPO values.
2. Ensure a successful fail-over and fail-back of the customer’s servers during transition.
3. Candidate is expected to acquire knowledge and work across multiple platforms, operating systems, storage configurations, backup technologies, and network topologies and protocols.
Technical Competencies (Experience and Knowledge)
VMware Certified Professional certification preferred
AWS SysOps Administrator (Associate) Certification
Min. Experience of 0-2 years in NOC environments supporting multiple customer set ups in a 24×7 environment
Operating Systems – Linux (RedHat, Fedora, CentOS), Windows Server.
Basic understanding of concepts like Routing/subneting, Load Balancing, Redundancy, Disaster Recovery, VPN, Firewalls, etc.
Core infrastructure components such as DNS, DHCP, Active Directory(AD), LDAP, LDAP Integration, E-Mail Servers such as postfix etc.
Skills and Behavioral Competencies
Aptitude for learning and ability to incorporate new skills and technologies into projects.
High levels of interpersonal skills. Highly motivated & Self driven with a proven ability to perform multi-tasking.
Generally adaptable approach, with ability to work under pressure.
Self-motivated and able to work with a minimum of supervision and willingness to work additional hours.
Innovative, creative and imaginative approach to solutions design and problem management.
Excellent communication (written and spoken) and interpersonal skills.
