Job Title: Engineer – Enterprise Applications
Location: Pune
Job Purpose Statement:
The role of EngineerEnterprise Applications is to assist the IT team with design, development, implementation, and administration of Salesforce.com (SFDC) and all the applications deployed on the Salesforce platform. The person in this role will work closely with Sales, Sales Operations, Marketing, Contract Administration, Product Management, IT, and other various support departments to provide solutions and assist with setting up business processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement Force.com solutions that adhere to platform best practices
- Design, configure, and administration of SFDC including but not limited to, Apex code and supporting test classes, Custom Objects, Workflow Rules, Custom Fields, Validation Rules, and Visual Force Pages
- Work with System Analyst/Architects to analyze business requirements, translating those requirements into customized solutions using the Force.com platform
- Develop applications on the Salesforce CPQ and Billing platform that enable our business users to succeed
- Assist and Support the implementation of Applications that are connected to or interact with SFDC such as Channel Partner Applications, Marketing Applications, Sales Applications, Single Sign On Connections, Identity Provider setups, and web service calls.
- Proactively engage on continuous improvement efforts for application design, support, and practice development efforts
- Participate in code reviews to ensure development standards and best practices are followed
- Assist in the estimation of work effort, determination of required resources, and set a realistic schedule for development
- Post-deliveryassists in supporting the live application by troubleshooting bugs and implementing bug fixes
- Work supportively with colleagues, operating in a collegiate manner at all times and in line with the Company’s values.
- Assist with SFDC Sandbox refreshes for several environments
Qualifications and Professional Membership:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or computer related field, or equivalent work experience
Technical Competencies (Experience and Knowledge):
- 2 to 4 years developing Apex, Java, JSP, and JavaScript code
- Certified SFDC Developer
- Proficient with standard SFDC processes and tools, installing and managing AppExchange applications, workflows, SQL, and data migration / change sets
- Domain knowledge in CRM, Financials, Quote to Cash business process areas
Skills and Behavioural Competencies:
- Strong Written and Verbal Communication, documentation, and organization skills
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills
- Able to work independently with little supervision
