Job Location: remote
The role will be responsible for delivering on Finance Analytics use cases and designing automation around Finance processes in form of Proof of Concept based on finance data that meet the needs of Syngenta s business units, thereby maximizing speed-to-value through an agile approach.
- Work independently to evaluate and analyze data to provide solution to complex business problems
- Collaborate closely with Finance and business leadership in a multi-national environment to define business needs and evaluate and deliver analytics use cases
- Creates unique and/or customized algorithms leading to Proof of Concepts which will help business understand underlying key KPI s
- Identify opportunities in Finance Operations and come up with automation solution using existing tools in the organization and if required design unique codes/application for this
Accountabilities-
- Possesses good understanding of data visualization and presentation aesthetics and ability to present actionable recommendation based on key trends and themes rooted through data analysis.
- Ability to influence key internal business partners and inspire change thereby improving the Finance reporting capabilities by providing capabilities to mine and analyze data and produce actionable information
- Work on agreed analytics use cases by leveraging the understanding of existing data and data model and combining with analytics algorithm to produce actionable and reliable insights
- Ability to mine existing data and identify patterns and effectively communicate the process of mining and results to Sr. Management by creating effective and interactive visualization
- Ability to build automation/proof of concept by ingesting data from various data sources and perform necessary data transformation and manipulation as required.
- Understanding of data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical) and ability to transform data into the required physical model to support “Proof of Concept”. understanding of Graph databases will be a bonus
- Leverage available, scalable technologies to implement sustainable reporting and analysis solutions preferably in SAP Analytics Cloud
Qualifications
Critical experience
- Overall minimum 12 years of experience with a strong track record of successfully delivering reporting analytics solutions in a complex multi-national environment with a min. 5 years experience in BI and analytics space.
- Solid experience in business performance management, definition and management of effective KPIs and metrics
- Solid understanding of financial KPIs and financial reporting
- Experience in designing Reporting requirements for enabling business decision making
- Working knowledge of technology stacks (data warehouse, data lake, ETL, reporting, analytics, etc.)
- Sound understanding of data collections, transformation and data-warehousing
- Should have experience around designing and delivering E2E process (Record Report) in a multi-source , Global environment
- Experience in driving process improvement programs and demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders
- Hand on experience in working with ETL process, and programming/scripting skills (Python/R) for data preparation and analysis.
- Foundational understanding of Cloud /Big data ecosystem , knowledge of AWS required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to manage high skilled individual contributors and experienced senior leaders
- Hands on R/Python , SAP Analytics Cloud , Other BI stack(Tableau ,Cognos, Qlik)
- Ability to write complex SQL to interrogate data
- Masters in Economics or Finance.
- B.tech with relevant work experience
