The Unit Economics team builds datasets and develops models to forecast customer lifetime values (CLVs) across T-Mobile’s diverse lines of business. Business owners from across the enterprise use our metrics and insights to build business cases, prioritize investments and assess the performance of products and channels.

As a Sr. Business Analysis Manager on the team you will be the primary point of contact for 1-2 lines of business, responsible for the end-to-end process of generating and evolving those metrics and insights.

What you’ll do in your role:

  • Lead the monthly process for calculating CLVs for your lines of business
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve modeling precision and output clarity
  • Plan and undertake complex projects to revamp existing models or proof of concept novel approaches with limited supervision
  • Routinely sync with business partners to serve as thought partner and stay informed of business changes that could impact our models and data sources
  • Answer ad-hoc questions from business partners, including to help them apply CLVs to planned promotions or other business initiatives
  • Develop subject matter expertise and serve as a mentor to others on the team

The experience you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree in business, mathematics or similar disciplines strongly preferred
  • At least 5-7 years demonstrated success in analytic roles
  • Fluent in SQL – able to write new code as well as interpret and modify complex existing code
  • Adept at managing and manipulating large data sets
  • High attention to detail and disciplined approach to quality control, including building tools to vet the accuracy of your own work
  • Proactive, self-starter able to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Strong communication skills – able to explain complex models and methodologies in clear, non-technical terms
  • Proficient in Excel and other Office applications
  • Experience with R, Tableau and similar tools a plus
