T-Mobile has an exciting opportunity for a Roaming Business Analytics Intern, a position that requires analytic thinking, the ability to influence team members and leaders cross-functionally, and an appetite for and desire to drive change and innovation.
What You Will Do
You will have the opportunity to influence the T-Mobile customer experience and financials through the following key responsibilities:
- Analyze data to understand and communicate key drivers of inbound revenue and outbound expense. Develop and operationalize processes to identify issues, opportunities, and risks, and improve reporting transparency and efficiencies. Improve financial and analytical bench strength.
- Provide support and backup of Roaming team reporting server / database. Work with internal technology and billing teams, and external vendors to deliver new functionality and enhancements, and enable new reporting capabilities based on industry roadmap / evolution.
- Assist Roaming Commercial Management & Financial Planning teams with budget and current year and long-range forecast planning.
- Develop new dashboards and KPIs to assist in tracking, monitoring, and alarming of Roaming business.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required to support operational and financial decisions, customer offers / experience, and senior leadership presentations.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate program in Finance, Business, or Information Systems
- Rock-star problem solver. You can identify the key issues and opportunities that impact business decisions and are equipped with superior analytical skills including the ability to build models to drive insights.
- Data analyzer. You are experienced at gathering, manipulating and analyzing large datasets, and are a fast learner on new tools.
- Diverse toolkit. Advanced skills in SQL, Access, and Excel. Experience with Azure, Alteryx, Power BI, and Tableau.
- Magenta team player. You have experience collaborating in teams and want to bring that experience to the cutting edge of wireless.
- Clear communicator. You can synthesize analysis into succinct, executive-ready written, visual, and verbal communications.
- Independent doer. You desire a high level of responsibility and can work with minimal supervision. You are comfortable working in a high-intensity environment.
- Fearless “Un-carrier” spirit. You possess a relentless appetite to drive change and aren’t bound by the “status quo.”
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in business analysis, financial analysis, or strategy.
- Experience working on cross-functional projects and initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience and comfort working with large data sets.
- Track record of demonstrating a high level of achievement.
- Experience in wireless business, with understanding of technology evolution a plus
Additional Details
- This role is 100% in office; Must be able to work in Bellevue, WA – relocation IS NOT available.

- Intern wages vary from $20/hour to $40/hour. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on experience/location
