Join Takeda as a Data Scientist, Human Factors and User Research where you will design, build, and deploy data structures, algorithms, and databases to support medical device and combination product design and development. You will also combine skills in behavioral research, statistical methods, qualitative methods, and general programming to optimize user-centered design. As part of the Human Factors and User Research, you will report to Sr Manager-Lead Human Factors and User Research.
How you will contribute:

Manage qualitative and quantitative use insights and Human Factors data

Develop and manage data structures and databases
-
Build automated decision support systems for Human Factors and User Research
-
Develop predicative models to enhance user-centered design
-
Automate data codification and verification
-
Develop applications to visualize and curate data
-
Generate data reports and dashboards
-
Integrate data science methods to support user insights gathering

Develop data-driven use behavior models
-
Support product and system level requirement generation and feature prioritization

Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team environment
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of Data Science, Data Engineering, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or other relevant degrees or

Master’s degree and 6 years of Data Science, Data Engineering, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or other relevant degrees or
-
Doctorate degree and 4 years of Data Science, Data Engineering, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or other relevant degrees

Expertise in data automation and coding for data manipulation is required
-
Fluency in at least one statistical programming language (E.g., R, Python, or similar) is required
-
Hands-on experience using at least one data visualization tool (E.g. Tableau or similar) is required
-
Understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) models is preferred
-
Understanding of Augmented Reality (AR) is preferred
-
Expertise in product development process is preferred
-
A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
-
This position may require 5 – 10% yearly travel, including domestic and international.
