Location/Schedule:
Tallgrass has a flexible working environment that offers employees the option to choose from compressed weeks with half-day Fridays or every other Friday off and Hybrid options for specific roles. Our spacious Lakewood, CO office, has an on-site gym and food trucks every other week! We currently can hire for this position out of the following locations: Lakewood, CO, and nearby locations.
Primary purpose:
Supports and reconciles data sets and databases to support Air Compliance Team greenhouse gas and criteria pollutant emission estimating software, analyzes and manipulates data from various databases, modeling and other software as well as plans, develops, tests, and configures data in various software systems.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Extracting and manipulating data from environments such as the measurement data management system (FlowCal Enterprise), event volume calculation system (Salesforce Lightning Platform) and operational data historian system (OSISoft’s PI) including interfaces in and out of the Air Compliance Team emission estimating software system (Enablon AQS).
- Responsibilities include the collection and interpretation of functional users’ data needs and participation in the identification, technical translation, development and implementation of solutions to meet those needs, primarily as they relate to bolt-on applications, interfaces between the systems, reporting and data collection for various internal and external audit requests.
- Summarize data and develop data dashboards in PowerBI.
- Provide system hardware and software support in conjunction with appropriate IT personnel as needed.
- Devise or modify visualization and dashboard screens to solve business problems using good information technology techniques, keeping in mind the capacity and limitations of the hardware/software, system response time, and form of desired results.

Minimum requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in IT, Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years direct work experience in Air Compliance, EHS or IT related discipline or technical training and experience may be considered as a substitute for a degree.
Experience/Specific Knowledge:
- Minimum of 2 years overall Air Compliance, EHS or IT experience.
- Minimum of 2 years development/support experience of measurement or data historian systems including OSISoft’s PI, FloCal Enterprise, Salesforce Lightening Platform, SQL, PowerBI, and PowerQuery.
- Preferred experience in EHS system navigation such as Enablon, ACTS, Intelex, Sphera.
- Preferred experience in emission estimating tools such as Promax, TankESP, GRI-GLYCalc.
- Must be customer service oriented.
- Analytical thinker able to utilize functional understanding of the various components of systems in conjunction with technical knowledge to identify effective and efficient problem resolutions.
- Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills; must communicate effectively with all levels of company personnel.
- Ability to work well both individually with minimal supervision and in a team environment where the sharing of knowledge is highly regarded and expected.
- Ability to multitask effectively and meet deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency level in MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to: Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Highly advanced proficiency level in MS Excel.
- Experience manipulating data and database and database language skills, such as SQL, as well as working with IT.
- Good interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate systems requirements verbally and in writing.
- Experience in effectively communicating business and technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in working on multiple assignments during the same time frame juggling tasks based on relative priorities with supervision commensurate with grade level.
- Use time effectively and efficiently.
Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Above the minimum requirements, not required but advantageous in this position:
- Experience working on Enablon, ACTS, Intelex, or Sphera is strongly preferred.
- Experience working on FloCal, OSISoft’s PI software is strongly preferred.
- Experience working on Asset Framework (A/F) within PI is strongly preferred.
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience in Oil and Gas, Refining and Supply or similar Industries.
