A biotechnology company in Massachusetts has a great Remote opportunity awaiting a new AWS Redshift Data Engineer.
Responsibilities:
The AWS Redshift Data Engineer (Remote) will be responsible for:
- Working in the Analytics group and supporting a variety of new data visualization and BI initiatives.
- Providing technical coaching to our team regarding data models, database design, and development
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 6+ years managing Enterprise-level Database environments with at least 3+ years of experience and deep focus on Redshift
- Associate’s and/or Bachelor’s Degree
- Expert-level skills in ETL/ELT and Data Transformation to meet business requirements
- Experience working with large datasets using PostgreSQL and SQL Server in AWS infrastructure
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Solid problem solving and time management skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Desired Skills:
- Experience with HR Analytics
- Experience in Redshift performance tuning, indexing and database/query optimization for high-speed big data consumption by data visualization platforms like Looker and Tableau is a plus
