Job profile:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analysis Intern to join our team. You will assist in conducting in-depth financial analysis, market research, and generating actionable insights to support our investment decisions. The successful candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, a passion for financial markets, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough analysis of businesses and industries across cycles
- Build a quantitative and qualitative understanding of the business including on the ground research to make sense of the numbers
- Sift through, understand, and analyze financial statements, industry data, peer group and other relevant data sources
- Build and update financial models including various valuation techniques of the businesses in the portfolio and the coverage universe
• Stay updated on market trends, economic indicators, and industry developments
- Work closely with the Research analyst as well as the Fund Manager to assist them with on-going equity research. Profound in MS excel, VBA, And Macros.
- The daily tasks would include collating company’s and industry’s financial data, preparing transcript and summary of quarterly earnings conference call with investee companies, tracking news and articles about companies/industries in portfolio/tracking list etc.
- Create routine reports, including but not limited to Investment Committee Reports and Investment Monitoring Committee Reports.
Qualifications:
- Advanced analytical and quantitative capabilities • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft 365, MS excel (VBA And Macros)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in research.
- Effective interpersonal skills and desire to work with a team.
