Job Location: Mumbai
Techno-Sciences is currently looking for a Junior Embedded Systems and Support Engineer to join its growing team in Mumbai, India and work on the next generation Search and Rescue Satellite-Aided Tracking (SARSAT) technologies. The selected individual will work as part of an engineering and support team on a variety of projects and activities focused largely on embedded systems and help build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our rapidly expanding SARSAT infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Build, test, debug, maintain, embedded system products
- Generate documentation and test results
- Develop test plans and test software
- Debugging at PCB level
- Build, patch, test (check for compatibility issues, conducts QA) and deploy complex systems and platforms meeting customer needs and specifications
- Perform complex software and operating system upgrades
- Perform data analysis and generate reports
- Must be self-sufficient. Able to work with minimal guidance
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor / Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics & Telecommunications or Computer Engineering
- Work experience: 2 to 4 Years (experienced, non-manager)
- 2+ years of experience working on embedded system products
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Additional Knowledge/Skills/Experience that would be helpful:
- Knowledge in embedded system development using C/C++ dealing with common industry tool chains, compilation, linking and IDE usage
- Programming experience in Matlab and/or Python
- Experience in handling Lab equipment (Spectrum analyzer, Logic Analyzer, Oscilloscope, Function Generators, JTAG, and In-circuit de-buggers)
- Familiar with the Linux ubuntu
- Familiarity with various communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, etc.)
- Understanding of RF and digital electronics
- Knowledge of micro-controllers: Arduino, Texas Instruments etc…
- Should be able to write basic SQL queries
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to work across with geographic locations and across multiple time zones
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
- Experience in working in an international and multi-cultural environment
- Additional foreign languages
