Overview:
- Assist in determining objectives and business requirements in anticipation of using BI and the data warehouse as a solution to drive business decisions.
- Design/develop/implement comprehensive BI solutions (from data model to dashboards) to problems assuring system quality, integrity, and performance efficiency.
- Plan, direct, monitor, and control new development, maintenance, and enhancement of BI interfaces, cubes, reports, dashboards and assigned software modules.
- Prepare system specifications, data element identification, database design, detailed program specifications, and data model designs.
- Assist in the development and compliance of departmental programming standards.
- Analyze data model and interface design specifications for completeness and conformity to standards.
- Write or oversee the writing of code in compliance with programming standards.
- Prepare test data and test programs.
- Delineate project activities from user requirements and system specifications. Assist in the preparation of plans, schedules, and estimates for projects.
- Provide support for BI, reporting and/or all assigned systems as needed.
- Assist developers and provide data access guidance as needed.
- Create SSRS reports with the data queried/provided.
- Produce and maintain SQL programming objects such as stored procedures, user defined functions, common table expressions, scheduled SQL Agent jobs, and clustered/non-clustered/covering indexes.
- Provide data back to the requesting business unit(s) and effectively communicate the results.
- Help determine level of effort and time required for solution delivery.
- Create documents and other artifacts to promote sustainable knowledge management within the organization.

This Is What It Takes:
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft SSAS/SSIS/SSRS.
- 3+ years of experience extracting and transforming data within Business Intelligence environment.
- 2+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL Agent jobs, SSIS packages.
- 2+ years of experience with SQL programming objects, including stored procedures, user defined functions, and common table expressions.
- 2+ years of comprehensive data warehouse analysis and design experience, with full knowledge of data warehouse methodologies and data modeling.
- Must have working knowledge of general business, quality/regulatory requirements, and/or manufacturing systems.
- Participate in on-call rotation and assist with after-hours issues, as required.
