Description:

We are looking for a Application Support / Technical Operations Analyst to lead all aspects of global ecommerce sites and systems. The ideal candidate will be an analytical thinker who can dig deep into problems to help assess and find solutions. In addition, the candidate should also be very good at running several concurrent activity at once, as well as shifting timelines and priorities.

  • Responsible for transactional eCommerce site operations and monitoring of uptime and functionality.
  • Troubleshoot production issues with the ability to dig deep into problems across multiple systems at various levels.
  • Architect and support continual process improvements to reduce costs, increase revenue and optimize cycle times.
  • Support and assist the Ecomm Middleware and Integrations development team with knowledge of .net, python, php, and/or Node.js.
  • Deploy / implement new systems and integration processes.
  • Perform daily review of various global systems and data – review system and application logs to monitor system stability, perform data analysis and reporting using MS SQL.
  • Monitor and recover down eCommerce systems as needed.
  • Help perform and coordinate routine maintenance across all eCommerce systems.
  • Manage DNS and SSL requests for the business through system administrators.
  • Rotating on-call support coverage required.

Our customer is looking for a Tech Operations Analyst to work on the Ecommerce team. This person will be primarily focused on issues within production.

The two main areas they will be looking at will be middleware and commerce cloud. While they will not need to go through the .net code, they will need to be able to identify where the issues are. For middleware this includes restarting services, looking at event viewer, moving files through fileshare etc. They will need to understand each of the 27 services and be able to follow the path that the folders go through, track any changes and identify where errors are. Similarly, when working on commerce cloud they will have to watch logs, identify where errors are, fix them, drop it and let it process again.

***ANY type or level of Ecommerce experience is going to be a MUST as this person will have to work with and track payment processes. ***

The Technical Operations Analyst assists with efforts to gather and analyze data, provide guidance to other staff, make recommendations for automated application processes, and assist with business needs. They will be supporting global ecommerce sites and back-end systems with responsibilities including, but not limited to, defining and documenting processes, implementations, customizations, debugging and troubleshooting application issues on a daily basis.

The ideal candidate will be an analytical thinker who has the technical ability to proactively dig deep into problems to help assess and find solutions over various systems and integrations. In addition, the candidate should also be very good at managing several concurrent activities at once, as well as shifting timelines and priorities.

Primary Job Duties –

Monitor

Monitor transactional eCommerce site operations, functionality, and uptime.

 Work closely with other team members and groups on current production system changes or upgrades to resolve problems and improve processes or systems.


Maintain, Research, and Support

Troubleshoot production issues with the ability to dig deep into problems across multiple systems at various levels.

 Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new eCommerce software projects and initiatives to support, enhance, and improve efficiency of business processes.

 Troubleshoot and manage issues pertaining to applications and systems as well as perform tuning, configuration, monitoring, and security administration.

 Investigate and resolve application functionality related issues and provide assistance with troubleshooting.

 Help perform and coordinate routine maintenance across all eCommerce systems.

 Rotating on-call support coverage required.


Job Requirements –

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience

 5 years specific to IT and website application development including:

 System and data analytics, troubleshooting

 Experience with multiple SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile), as well as CI/CD concepts

 System integrations

 Payment processing concepts and platforms

 Database concepts and ability to write semi-complex SQL queries

 Networking concepts (DNS, SSL, FTP, etc.)

 XML, JSON

 Windows Server Technology

 QA methodologies

 Must be comfortable in rapidly changing and sometimes ambiguous work situations. Keen attention to detail and complex problem-solving abilities from an operational and technical perspective. Ability to work independently and engage manager as needed.

 Must have strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to help negotiate priorities, and to resolve conflicts among project stakeholders.

 Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware)

 Salesforce Service Cloud / Apex

 Microsoft Azure

 .NET/C# application development

 Visual Studio

 Oracle Integration Cloud

 PCI, SOX, GDPR, and PII compliance


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years in the B2C eCommerce and/or website application development industry
  • Some level of eCommerce platform experience
  • Documented background in all of the following:
  • SQL development and database concepts
  • System and data analytics, troubleshooting
  • SDLC
  • Web development
  • System integrations
  • Payment processing concepts
  • Networking concepts (DNS, SSL, FTP, etc.)
