- No preference on database – Doesn’t matter what database it is, it is the data analysis that we are looking for (SQL/Oracle/etc., not the focus) – can work on bigger volume/high volume databases and provide end to end solutions as a primary focus
Responsibilities:
Engages large to medium development projects to design data solutions that address business and technical needs. Translates business and functional requirements into holistic data solution designs, technical designs, and implementation roadmaps. Works with interdisciplinary teams to ensure data processes are aligned with enterprise business needs.
Functions:
- Provide technical consulting to data development teams, recommending existing tools, technology, designs and approach, as specific solutions
- Build data integration strategies and frameworks to guide data integration development teams
- Plan and organize highly scalable multi-tenant BI and data solutions
- Lead and oversee the creation of BI and data solution designs and projects
- Collaborate with business partners and other IT teams to assess, strategize, and develop conceptual, logical, and physical solutions
- Evaluates and recommends emerging Business Intelligence and Analytics technologies and commercial software solutions that should be acquired benefit the business and/or IT processes
- Guide BI development teams along the way with best practices in development and implementation of data solution
- Develop and implement enterprise BI and data integration frameworks, standards, and processes
- Assess business problems and provide solutions that meet the business need to maximize the value of data
- Able to assist in all aspects of a data solution implementation including, but not limited to, development and system administration
- Provides mentoring and training both one on one and as a team on best practices as well as insights on emerging technology
- Monitors, documents, and reports all project risks and issues; leads mitigation and resolution efforts to limit risks; escalates as needed
- Interfaces extensively with infrastructure engineers to provide communication about projects and to assess hardware and network requirements
Experience Needed:
- 7+ years of experience with enterprise database design and architecture required
- 7+ years of experience with complex enterprise database systems, business intelligence applications, data integration, and system integration solutions required
- 5+ years of experience with reporting and/or data visualization tools required
- AWS and or other cloud platform/application experience required
- Health Care experience preferred
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in ANSI SQL
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
This will be a fully remote position so consultants should be accustomed to this type of setup
