The Opportunity
Our team of data engineers aggregates and transform substantial amounts of member data to support actionable, personalized, and timely healthcare for our members. The Data Transfer Team is responsible for critical member eligibility and other medical data feeds that impact member experience. The applicant should have a strong interest in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), data quality, data analysis, data design and data consumption.
Responsibilities
- Implement the ingestion of a variety of medical data feeds through our ETL
- Eligibility and census data
- Medical/provider claims data
- Pharmacy benefit management/pharmacy claims
- Wellness programs and biometric data
- New Client connectivity, file format testing, and delivery of processing test results
- New Client Production setup, monitoring and triage critical alerts to enforce business rules and ensure data integrity for all downstream systems
- Engage with external partners, clients, and benefit management vendors to obtain pertinent data files
- Work with technical and non-technical client stakeholders to explain data concepts and enforce data requirements
- Establish strong relationships with internal business partners with a goal of standardizing data file templates and integrations with new acquisitions
- Partner with Teladoc’s client-facing teams to establish and maintain required data source feeds
- Collaborate with Product, Reporting, Clinical, Engineering, and other Operational teams on developing data-driven solutions
Candidate Profile
- 2-4 years’ experience with data processing and analytics
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Strong EDI and/or ETL experience
- SQL/UNIX/PuTTY (REQUIRED)
- Experience developing and maintaining operational processes
- Preference will be given to those that has Healthcare experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

The base salary range for this position is $85,000 – $105,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2022. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
