THE ROLE

Looking Business Analyst with prior Islamic Banking experience toundertake requirement gathering with clients, prospects and/orinternal stakeholders

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with Product Managers and Senior Consultants to undertake requirement gathering with clients, prospects and/or internal stakeholders.
  • Create Functional Specification Documents (FSD) with guidance from team members in a clear and concise manner that can be easily understood without ambiguity by Technical team.
  • Serve as an Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Technical team to clarify ambiguity and help/ steer project team as needed towards end objectives.
  • Work with Quality Assurance team to ensure thorough testing of new developments.
  • Prepare suitable user guides and collateral for new developments.
  • Ensure metrics, deadlines, and record-keeping obligations established bymanagement are met.
  • Work independently and in a collaborative nature.
  • Support issues that need business team intervention toclarify the queries of the clients.
  • Achieves and Maintains highest Proficiency level in and contributes to multiple competency areas of Core Functional streams.
  • Able to effectively share the knowledge and mentor Junior consultants from TEMENOS and Partner organizations, promoting adherence to TEMENOS methodologies and quality standards.

SKILLS EXPERIENCE

  • BE/BTech/MBA candidate with min of 2 years and above experience in a top tier software company/ bank in a progressive role in product management/ Business Analysis with a focus on Islamic banking areas such as Islamic finance, Islamic deposits (including Profit distribution system [PDS]) and Islamic treasury.
  • Knowledge of AAOFI/ Islamic accounting and basics ofconventional accounting is desirable.
  • Any White Paper or Strategy Paper published on any Islamic products would be an added advantage.
  • General Understanding of Shariah Board working is anadvantage.
  • Strong practical, working knowledge of Agile SDLC is essential.
  • Experience in working across teams in Software Development, Quality Assurance, Consulting and Product Support.
  • Ability to communicate and interact with both internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Knowledge in any of the following systems: T24/Transact, Path solutions, Misys, Flex-cube, or equivalent Core/ Retail banking applications is an advantage.
  • Might involve occasional international travel for few weeks, at short notice.
