About the Role:
This role resides in the Commercial Analytics team and supports the Global Commercial Operations organization. The Senior Commercial Analyst will develop and execute data mining, statistical analyses, and computerized modeling to improve and align supply chain and manufacturing planning and capacity with demands.
The primary objective for this position is to create information, tools and resources that will provide a competitive advantage for Terex. The position would require working closely with multiple functions across the business including but not limited to: IT, customer service, sales, finance, logistics, product management, SIOP, pricing and part sales.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be a key participant and provide analytics supports in projects related to commercial excellence process improvements for the Global Commercial Operations organization to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Create and maintain dashboards used by the business for decision making
- Understanding business processes and writing SQL queries to obtain the necessary and correct data for a project
- Leads activities to drive the improvements to future commercial capabilities using business analytics and simulation methods
- Provide expertise in mathematical modeling, statistics, or other quantitative techniques to develop and make strategic business decision recommendations.
- Provide technical support to functional teams to ensure on time performance.
- Work with functional teams and users to support the implementation and execution of proposed solutions and toolsets. This will include creating appropriate training and support materials for end users as well as maintenance of the solution tools.
- Work on predictive analytics initiatives aimed at forecasting sales, lead times, and maximizing profits
- Innovate and improve upon current processes, and be part of a continuous improvement culture
- Interface and share best practices
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Engineering, Physics, Business Administration, or related fields involving analytics
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiar with the use of optimization, simulation, and statistical analysis software applications (R, Python, etc)
- Self-starter with strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills; able to work independently as well as in fast-paced, cross-functional teams. Must have good time and project management skills and attention to detail.
- Good programming and data management skills (VBA, databases, SQL) as well as business management and personal productivity applications (e.g., MS Office)
- Experience with dashboarding tools (QlikSense, Amazon Quicksight, Tableau, etc)
- Independent learner with a strong interest in broadening the competencies of the organization as well as extending personal knowledge.
- Analytical skills with the ability to effectively communicate a story through data
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a continuously changing environment
- Demonstrated high respect for people as individuals and as members of the company team
- Problem solving skills: 5 Why or equivalent Problem-Solving training and ability to identify the problem, root cause and implement an effective countermeasure
- Experience creating and maintaining standard work for business processes
- Experience in working with multiple ERP systems, in particular Oracle
- Experience working with databases and database queries
- Experience working with Salesforce
- Experience presenting work and communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences
