What To Expect
The individual in this role will deliver financial analytic support for Tesla’s North America Logistics team. Focus will include freight invoice validation, supporting payment approval, financial reporting, logistics spend systems improvements, finding ways to automate and improve processes, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to drive continuous improvements towards Tesla Supply Chain, through innovative solutions and insightful detailed analysis and reporting analytics. This individual will have experience working with large data sets.
What You’ll Do
- Audit vendors’ invoices and collaborate with AP to ensure successful payment of logistics invoices before payment terms are due.
- Accrue for unbilled invoices at the end of the month.
- Develop and maintain key metrics and executive dashboard on freight invoice payment, logistics cost performance, and cost improvement roadmap actions.
- Deliver in-depth analysis of logistics network to data-mine opportunities for cost improvement actions and drive data driven decision-making.
- Analyze operational and finance data and present actionable insights to senior team members and management.
- Issue statistical or detailed reporting for stakeholders as requested, using SQL to retrieve data from the backend and working with python to automate and mold data.
- Identify & execute opportunities to increase bandwidth through automation and streamlining of business processes.
- Lead the collaboration with Finance for transportation contracts, cost accruals, and invoice payments.
- Support the Finance group with logistics information for the monthly and quarterly close processes.
- Utilize enterprise cost mindset to continuously improve cost and quality for the global material, service, and product distribution network.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in finance, analytics, accounting or supply chain or the equivalent experience.
- 2+ years’ experience in analytics, financial, accounting, account payable or a supply chain role with projects is a plus.
- Understanding of financial and accounting concepts and procedures within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with MS Office, MS Access, SQL, Tableau and other BI tools.
- Knowledge of VBA, R, or Python preferred.
- Exceptional analytical skills with regards to logistics analysis, data manipulation, and the ability to create information from data.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver high quality results.

Expected Compensation
$60,000 – $192,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
