Brief Overview of Position
The Business Process Analyst of Process Mapping will serve as a key enabler for the portfolio of initiatives within the Transformation Office. This role will primarily focus on tactical level actions, specific to creating process mapping and flow documentation, emphasizing the delivery of materials but will have responsibilities that integrate into the Transformation Office’s broader strategic and operational visions for the organization’s future. As a member of the newly formed Transformation Team, the Business Process Analyst will work to collaborate across multiple departments, synthesize ideas into resources and tools, offer meaningful input and feedback, and help provide organization and timeliness for the larger Transformation team objectives.
While documenting current state processes, the Business Process Analyst of Process Mapping will work collaboratively across the business functions to challenge current state processes and assist in the development and innovation of new future state processes.
Responsibilities:
- Apply a structured approach for mapping process flows in a standard and consistent framework, focusing on detailed departments and full end-to-end operational value stream process mapping.
- Apply a structured optimization framework, in alignment with continuous improvement or Kaizen, across each assessment
- Proactively identify and recommend process improvement opportunities within Operational teams and provide meaningful analysis and feedback on delivery initiatives
- Leverage existing and create standard templates and own/update process flows, prepare presentations, and conduct working session, often with very tight timelines and turnaround times
- Independent and proactive, while maintaining high sense of urgency and quality with project materials to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Accomplish and execute day to day tasks for Transformation initiatives as assigned
- Support communications, training, and other change management efforts while in coordination and collaboration with overall transformation objectives.
- Conduct root cause analyses, identify, track, report, and manage issues proactively
- Conduct controlled studies, as needed, to test new process designs
- Identify opportunities for automation without reducing quality
- Provide data-based recommendations for improvement and track and monitor results of process work and optimization strategies

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, including Business, Engineering, or Project Management or an addition 3 years of professional experience in lieu of degree
- At least three years of related experience specific to process mapping, improvement and/or data analytics, preferably with finance, performance management, staffing, and/or program implementation
- Strong process mapping experience with specific tools such as Visio (or other similar tools), coupled with presentation and PowerPoint abilities
- Demonstrated proficiencies in process mapping, engineering and optimization and strong capabilities to conduct end to end process mapping in workshop environments
- Working knowledge of change management principles, methodology, and tools
- Demonstrated time management abilities
- Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with others and possess the desire/ability to build strong relationships and receptive to feedback
- Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
- Resilient with a propensity to persevere
- Well organized with the ability to balance and manage competing priorities
- Strong knowledge and experience operating with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal and excellent active listening skills
- Ability to independently manage small workstream and organize large amount of complex information
- Detail oriented with an appreciation for nuances coupled with problem-solving and root cause identification skills
- Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, CAPM, CSM, Lean Six Sigma, and comparable project management certifications are a plus
- Experience with data analytics is highly desirable
- Experience with organizational change efforts is highly desirable
- Experience with Technology and Digital Transformation initiatives is highly desirable
