As part of the Space Enterprise and Warfighting Division, the Space Security Integration Department provides high-quality analytical support to the USSF’s Space Warfighting Analysis Center (SWAC), advising the Government on the design of future joint forces communications architectures to win the next war.
This position requires 100% onsite work in classified facilities and is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
What You’ll Be Doing
Provide leadership and technical support to the Space Warfighting Analysis Center (SWAC). This fast-paced organization is developing the next generation of capabilities to provide space effects to the joint warfighter and operate in a highly contested operational environment. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively in a multi-level classification environment with interagency, military, and civilian communities in the planning, conduct and interpretation of analysis to shape the force design of the future space data transport architecture.
  • Advise the SWAC’s Government leadership on analytical approaches, force design, systems engineering and development of future Space Data Transport architectures.
  • Translate SWAC Government leadership needs for engineering and analytical support to members of Aerospace’s Engineering and Technology Group (ETG).
  • Collaborate with Aerospace’s Project West Wing to better understand the threats and develop applicable models
  • Plan, assign, and manage the workload of interdisciplinary teams to meet customer requirements.
  • Identify Aerospace resources and expertise that can be brought to bear on tough customer problems.
  • Lead or participate in more than one working group conducting analysis of technology and capabilities and providing analytically backed recommendations.
  • Provide periodic execution reviews to Aerospace and customer senior management
  • Provide frequent communication to government counterparts about Aerospace ETG support
  • Collaborate with other Aerospace personnel across all corporate locations and organizations
  • Direct interaction with various government partner organizations including US Space Force (USSF), Space Warfare Analysis Center (SWAC), Space Systems Center (SSC), US Space Command (USSC), and the subordinate Space Operations Squadrons (SOPS), the Intelligence Community and other Combatant Commands
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or other technical sciences from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant technical experience in satellite communications, networking, or information systems development and acquisition, analysis, operations and/or program management.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with strategic command, control, and communications systems, architectures, and operations
  • Extensive knowledge of military and commercial SATCOM missions, system designs, and operations
  • Experience with modeling, simulation, and analysis of communications architectures
  • Extensive experience managing technical deliverables, including tasking and managing matrixed technical resources
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced & dynamic environment and to work complex, often ill-defined problems
  • Experience working with integrated Government, FFRDC, and SETA teams
  • Demonstrated strong technical leadership, interpersonal, and team building skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate complex ideas and data to GO/FO, SES leaders
  • This position requires a Current TS/SCI clearance and SAP/SAR access, which is issued by the federal government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
  • Periodic travel is required
How You Can Stand Out

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
  • Graduate degree in engineering, physics, or other technical sciences from a recognized institution
  • Over 15 years of modeling, simulation, and analysis experience, with a strong background in space systems, space operations or joint warfighting operations
  • Demonstrated success in directly interfacing with senior government leadership of varying backgrounds
  • Experience with agile approaches to analysis and development activities
  • Extensive experience with one or more space system development program offices
  • Experience working with the Space Security and Defense Program, US Space Force, US Space Command or NRO customers
  • Knowledge of man-made threats to space systems
Grade-Based Pay Range
(Min – Mid – Max)

$126,000 – $170,000 – $210,000
