Cloroxโs Enterprise Data Strategy and Operations team is seeking a talented BI Engineer to work in our Data squad and perform the Data Analysis and BI work that will equip, enable, and empower our business with high-value enterprise data assets.
We are looking for a BI Engineer, who is responsible for generating data insights and develop visualization. This includes data analysis, reverse engineering data pipelines, generating insights from existing data and able to develop dashboards. Work closely with business stakeholder and enterprise analytics team to create wireframes and develop presentable dashboards.
- Perform data analysis on existing data sets using various tools and technologies like PowerBI, Python, R.
- Will be responsible to work with business to understand reporting needs and develop interactive dashboards/reports with tools like Power BI / Tableau etc.
- Understand Clorox data sets and become a SME for data to support future data needs.
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, re-designing existing reports for greater scalability, etc.
- Collaborate with data engineers to research & reverse engineer existing artifacts and transform into new content.
- Work with operations team to migrate the dashboards to production environment.
- Implementation of dashboard security and data level security within dashboards.
- Documents business requirements and builds wireframes based on business needs.
- Bachelorโs degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Design Engineering or Mathematics or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of technology experience, with at least 2+ in reporting development and 2+ in Data analysis.
- Proficient in SQL queries and or other coding languages to query data.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and visual design skills.
- Extensive hands-on experience working with large data sets with hands-on technology skills query data and generate insights.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven record of accomplishment in gathering and documenting comprehensive business requirements.
- Experience in understanding data models and able to analyze / join data to generate insights
- Hands on Experience with connecting and querying to at least one of the platforms โ Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS.
- Analysis Experience in Modern Cloud Data Warehouses like Azure Synapse, Amazon Red Shift, Google Big Query, Snowflake etc.
- Experience in anyone language like Python, Pyspark, Databricks, SparkSQL is preferred.
- Experience working in Agile or SAFE Agile team structures.
- Possess UX/UI capabilities
- Knowledge on MPP architectures and parallel query processing engines like Delta Lake, Presto, Azure Synapse, Dremio etc.
- Understanding of Logical Data Warehousing, Modern Data Lakehouse Architectures.
- Knowledge on Legacy data tools like Oracle Databases, ODI, OBIEE, Informatica, Apex etc.
- Working with low code analytics and data preparation tools like Alteryx, Trifacta, Power Apps etc.
