Job Detail:
The IMA Group is seeking to hire a strategic and innovative Azure Data Engineer to join their team remotely.
This individual will work with 3rd party systems, designing integrations and interoperability, to create business solutions to strengthen operational capabilities. This individual will also work within Microsoft Azure and assist the development team in constructing CI/CD pipelines, assist the infrastructure team in monitoring and maintenance, and enforce best practices where possible.
The individual will construct, deploy, and maintain high quality Platform as Service components, libraries, and frameworks.
This position is full time remote, with occasional travel for team meetings.
We are not accepting applications from Colorado, Washington and California states at this time.
This individual MUST reside in Central or Eastern Time Zone, or willing to time shift or relocate.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to…
- Translate broad business goals into practical technical solutions with realistic milestones, using PaaS structures in Azure
- Construct reusable frameworks and scaffolding for common problems, like integrations and moving data between systems
- Build solutions that require minimal maintenance, and develop a plan for maintenance of those solutions
- Evangelizes, researches, builds proofs of concept, and introduces new technologies to the team
- Support engineers in developing architecture, design, development, testing, delivery and operations systems and solutions
- Act in an advisory role with IT and Business teams as a subject matter expert (SME)
- Additional duties as assigned by the Information Technology Leadership team
- May mentor or provide guidance for junior team members
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Knowledge of Azure PaaS components, including Azure Functions, Azure DevOPS, various Azure database types like SQLaaS and Cosmos, Azure Service Fabric, and Azure Data Factory
- Proven experiencing implementing “best fit” resources for business solutions – experience integrating scalability into resource cost / consumption.
- Strong knowledge and experience in service oriented/microservice architecture running in the cloud
- Designs and develops practical APIs and abstractions that will benefit the business
- Knowledge of CI/CD best practices, and experience operating or implementing CI/CD pipelines in Microsoft’s Azure Cloud
- Azure certifications are a plus
Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience with Azure Cloud Technology and PaaS components
- Proficient in C# or Python
- Central or Eastern Time Zone, or willing to time shift or relocate
