Job Location: Mumbai Metropolitan Region
The Data Analyst will be responsible for research and preparing analysis to support the claims department in providing data to internal and external business partners at our company. The data will originate from multiple sources within the company as well as industry sources. The candidate will be tasked in conducting research, compiling data, identifying trends, and partnering with colleagues to match data from multiple resources to make recommendations.
Responsibilities
• Collecting, auditing, compiling and validating data from multiple sources, maintaining files.
• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques or relational databases and produce as-needed and ongoing reports to support recommended product/programs.
• Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns and improvement opportunities in complex data sets to assist in risk modeling and loss trends.
• Communicate internally and with other Liberty Company partners to collect and validate data as well as answer questions regarding reports and data.
• Create ad-hoc data sets through graphs, tables and other visuals based upon business requests.
Qualifications
• Undergraduate/Associates degree in related field preferred, equivalent years’ experience considered.
• At least two years of data related or analytical work experience, preferably in the US insurance industry.
• MS Office skills including intermediate skills in Excel with the ability to create, manipulate and formulate spreadsheets, to include v-look-ups, pivot tables, formulas, charts and graphing.
• Basic to intermediate experience with SQL queries, with MS SQL Server database experience preferred.
• Ability to grasp database structures and understand the underlying relationships and dependencies.
• Comfortable compiling data integration from multiple sources; performing quality control on data sets; identifying and scrutinizing anomalies and/or outliers in the data; ability to manipulate data and complete required analysis.
