Our Customer is a corporation that develops, manufactures, and markets robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. Founded in 1995, its goal was to create innovative, robotic-assisted systems that help empower doctors and hospitals to make surgery less invasive than an open approach. Working with the top medical professionals, they continue to develop new, minimally invasive surgical platforms and future diagnostic tools to help solve complex healthcare challenges around the world.

We are seeking a BI Technical Project Manager on a contract basis to support our Customer’s business needs. You will lead and drive the project to an architect to build data and analytics – drive quality/consistency of data across business functions.

What youโ€™ll do:
Manage all aspects of program deliverables from project inception to implementation and resource oversight.

Lead the technical delivery, implementation, business change management, and adoption of new scalable and reliable data analytics and business intelligence solutions for cross-department leadership and business teams.

Ensure that the project is delivered on time, within the scope, and within budget.

Develop a detailed project plan and timeline to monitor and track project progress on a daily and weekly basis.

Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.

Assist in the documentation of best practices.

Track and monitor daily tasks and overall progress for multiple workstreams based on functions.

Collaborate, communicate, and drive with business stakeholders and the project team in all phases of the project.

Manage, risks, and escalations at the right time and effectively.

Be able to manage and track deliverables assigned to each team member to ensure delivery completeness before exiting each phase gate.

Manage changes to the project scope, and project schedule using appropriate verification techniques.

Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques.

Build and support a collaborative relationship with internal matrix partners At any given time, the TPM should always know the overall project’s health and its current issues, blockers, risks, and mitigations.

Use your technical and data analytics experience to facilitate and lead different workstreams within the project.

Work with our Enterprise Analytics portfolio owners, developers, analysts, lead SMEs, and cross-functional business stakeholders to migrate EDW data and its reports and analytics to our Snowflake Cloud platform.

Will manage the code conversion, data foundation build, and reports and analytics migration efforts.

TPM who had worked in the role of Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse Solution Architect, Data Engineer, or Technical Business System Analyst before becoming TPM.

Must Haves:
Technical Project Manager with at least 7+ years of experience in managing Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse projects and programs

7 years of experience in leading BI projects and programs related to data engineering, data analytics, business intelligence, and data warehouse (On-prem or Cloud).

Must have hands-on experience related to Enterprise Data Warehouse, Snowflake Cloud, Business Intelligence toolsets, and data warehouse utilities such as SQL, Tableau, etc.

Experience in leading organizational change efforts using data tools and solutions to improve organizational efficiency and change management.

Strong acumen in all Project Management Knowledge areas.

Strong understanding of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Strong experience delivering projects using hybrid project methods Waterfall and Agile.

Must be a Proven track record of proactively managing scope, timeline, risks, issues, and escalations.

Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills (clear, concise, and confident, with an audience-appropriate level of detail) across the project team and cross-functional business stakeholders.

The ability to understand technical discussions between teams to identify and remove blockers.

Must good in Proven track record of project execution โ€“ analysis, design, development, and delivery.

Experience with project change management โ€“ train, engage, adopt, and use.

Must be a good leader and assertive collaborator โ€“ not afraid to speak the truth to uncover and remove roadblocks.

Must be a good Team player and collaborator are expected.

Enterprise Data Warehouse, SQL, Snowflake, and Tableau reporting experience is required.

Knowledgeable in Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or equivalent tools to manage projects.

Experience in JIRA, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Experience in Scrum master is a big plus.

Experienced BI technical project manager to drive and execute our Enterprise Data Warehouse Cloud Migration project.

Ability to work directly with business and technical teams to help solve issues, remove roadblocks, and keep all deliverables and timelines on track.

Education:
Bachelorโ€™s degree related to Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or Information Resource Management with working experience in BI space.

Hours & Location:
M-F, 40 hours/week. This role will be remote while COVID restrictions are in place. The expectation is to be onsite at our Customerโ€™s Santa Clara, CA location once it is deemed safe to do so.
