Scope of Position

The James is the only cancer program in the country that features a National Cancer Institute (NCI) designated comprehensive cancer center aligned with a nationally ranked academic medical center on the campus of one of the nation’s largest public universities.
The Senior Business Operations Analyst functions as an integral member of the James Business Development team at The James. Under the direction of the Business Operations & Business Development Senior Director, The Senior Business Operations Analyst coordinates, leads, consults and supports the organization into data driven decisions through working with leaders across the OSUCCC-James. In this department, extensive time is spent on translational business operations and development with the cancer service line. The senior analyst will support 3 business development entities: James Cancer Network (JCN), Digital Pathology (DP) & Destination Medicine (DM). The primary responsibilities will be maintaining & updating all contracts, financial proforma development & oversight, as well as aligning plans to external benchmarking, budgeting, and productivity to then collaborate with leadership in managing their growth and development. The Senior Analyst will develop and evaluate monthly financial performance reports for the leaders for each respective entity. Help to co-develop and track goals and outcomes with the entities and support all translational business support. The Senior Analyst oversees the annual budget planning & capital plans to support the business lines within The James, in the form of: budget management, planning and development, and special projects. The Senior Business Operations Analyst also closely collaborates across OSUWMC with other leaders and staff to provide fiscal, operational, and market analytics oversight. The Senior Analyst participates in business planning initiatives, supports business development activities, participates in multidisciplinary meetings, and other internal and external groups that impact the success of the business lines.
Position Summary
The Senior Business Operations Analyst is responsible for leading, guiding, and providing support and analytics for the James Business Development entities (JCN, DP, DM). The Senior Business Operations Analyst develops, aligns, and drives reports to assess the outcomes and financials that support the overall business line growth and development. The analyst will be responsible to align the metrics to support the goals and to ensure the implementation of key OSUCCC-The James initiatives through interdisciplinary collaboration.
Required Qualifications
Graduate degree in business or health care administration required. Record of demonstrated leadership experience and skills and a minimum of 5 years in experience required. Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and facilitation skills required; Experience managing programs; Considerable experience in computer applications including proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics software desired
