Job Location: La Grange, KY
The Data Scientist supporting the Drug Payment Integrity Division. The candidate will identify statistical relationships, via modeling, then analytically test business assumptions along with performing hypothesis tests on those assumptions. A diverse background of experience with techniques will be crucial to providing alternative approaches. Results will be implemented into business processes to improve growth in revenue and profitability.
Hours: Day shift, 40-hour work weeks. Flexible schedule options available between 7am – 7pm after six months of employment.
Setting: Professional office environment (with remote option available outside a 70-mile radius from La Grange, KY).

Responsibilities
- Support DMG with Analytical solutions to enhance mining efforts.
- Develop Statistical models to achieve business goals.
- Develop reporting solutions to allow the business to monitor modeling and mining efforts.
- Provide in-depth explanations of numerical solutions to management.
- Communicate continuously with Data Mining Group leadership on new project and report assignments.
- Learn the Rawlings’ business model.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, physics, mathematics or other science related fields.
- Minimum of five years of SQL experience.
- Minimum of three years of Data Science experience or other relevant experience.
- Previous Python software development experience.
- Extensive experience in classification models.
- Minimum of three years building statistical models, with both classical and machine learning approaches.
- Must be highly detailed and comfortable spending significant time debugging data.
- Must work well with a team. This person will be part of a small focused team.
- Have a wide range of experience with many analytical techniques.
- Must be comfortable with experimentation.
- Experience within the health insurance industry is preferred.
