Job Summary: The IT Technical Specialist III performs advanced professional IT activities for a specialized, complex assignment or functional area requiring application of an advanced professional knowledge of IT principles, practices, and procedures. Requires evaluation, originality or ingenuity. May supervise and/or direct the work of project teams or other lower level staff.
Additional Department Summary: Under moderate supervision, this position will provide support in the areas of reporting, analytics, and business process design/workflow. This position will also provide support in designing, implementing and supporting various software applications.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree ; OR Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of IT experience; OR Associateโs degree and four (4) years of IT experience; OR High School Diploma or GED and six (6) years of IT experience. Knowledge of advanced programming, networking, system, multimedia, instructional technology skills or project management methods and applications. May require intermediate or advanced level training or certification.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have prior experience with using Microsoft Power Platform, SQL, and WordPress. Must also have experience with reporting tools such as Crystal Reports, Power BI, Tableau, or SSRS.
Skills and Knowledge: Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with users of varying degrees of technical ability and understanding. Effective time management skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications: Programming experience is preferred.
