JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Analyst Finance position at The Wine Group is an integral part of the Finance Department. This position contributes to the team by providing accurate, timely, and insightful analysis that enables the company to meet its strategic objectives. The position collaborates with other analysts and with managers throughout the company that are dedicated to value-creation, efficiency, cost-mindfulness, and integrity. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with and enjoy data analysis while maintaining the ability to step back and understand the big picture and dependencies across the organization. This role is eligible for remote work.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide financial insights that help the decision-making process, aligning capital and resource allocation within the company
- Develop financial models that underpin sound business decisions
- Develop and monitor data quality metrics and ensure business data and reporting needs are met
- Assist with Annual Operating Plan consolidation
- Enable sound business decisions by providing accurate, timely and insightful analysis
- Identify problems and opportunities and provide solutions that help achieve company goals
- Maintain Capital Expenditure ROI model and review of capital asset cost savings proposals
- Oversight of Profit Cube business intelligence tool ensuring timely and accurate data and meta-data
- Work with IT to enhance financial metric visualization tools such as Power BI/Tableau
- Provide financial analysis in support of Corporate Development initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis or related field
- Extensive experience forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis
- Must have a high proven aptitude for analysis, critical thinking and problem solving, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
- Possess high integrity with ability to identify bias and remain objective
- Strong communication/interpersonal skills
- Track record for following through on commitments
- Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations
- Experience working with data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau)
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of SQL or relational database concepts preferred
- Knowledge JD Edwards application preferred
- Experience in Beer/Wine/Spirits or other CPG industry is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with an ability to work independently as well as in a team environment and be flexible to changing priorities

- Willing to travel with overnight stays as needed, ~5%
