How will you make an impact?
The Data Solution Analyst at Thermo Fisher Scientific is a multidimensional position covering technology, people, process, and data strategies for an internal customer experience application. The solution supports Thermo Fisher’s Customer Experience team through data driven insights. This role will partner with business stakeholders, data engineers, and software developers. A successful candidate will proactively drive the strategies, processes, and systems to develop, enhance, and maintain the customer experience application.
Responsibilities
- Build partnerships with key stakeholders and provide front line support for business requests from various divisions/groups.
- Provide hands-on technical work where required.
- Build a deep understanding of the customer experience application and its underlying data mechanics.
- Work with end users to understand how and why the application is being used. What are the strengths and weaknesses? These insights should drive roadmap ideation.
- Be a liaison between the business and IT team, providing updates on demand status, estimates, and strategy direction
- Coordinate with architecture and data delivery team on effort estimates, timeline and resource assignments
- Collaborate with product owners to organize and prioritize work leveraging Agile project management methodology.
- Provide Business critical demand/escalation by leveraging internal architecture, delivery, and operations organization
- Develop documentation and training materials, participate with customer groups in the planning for longer-term systems enhancements.
How will you get here?
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 7+ years of experience
- More than 5+ years’ experience in a data & analytics role with a strong understanding of technical, business and operational process requirements – customer experience domain expertise is a plus.
Experience
- Working knowledge of databases and SQL
- Hands on programming experience, specifically Python
- Working knowledge of business intelligence and data visualization tools, specifically PowerBI
- Working knowledge of AWS console and tools, specifically S3 and Athena
- Agile development of data driven solutions, ideally within customer experience functions
- Gathering and translating requirements into technical solutions
- Presenting and communicating with senior leadership
- Leading or working within a team that leverages agile project management methodology
- ERP knowledge is a plus
- React JS and UX development experience is a plus
