What you’ll do
The Global Buying Tools Solution Delivery team develops the software and systems that support TJX’s world class buying organization. In this role, you will help us design, develop and implement improved data analytics solutions that will enable our buyers to make faster, smarter decisions every day.
As an Senior Engineer on the Global Buying Tools solution delivery team, you will be a part of an Agile product team building an analytics platform in a dynamic, fun environment and have a number of exciting responsibilities including (but not limited to):
- Developing Business Intelligence and Analytical solutions in a Modern technology stack
- Designing, documenting and implementing Cloud based Data Models (logical and physical), ETL processes, Data Visualizations, and other relevant deliverables
- Testing code and other deliverables developed by fellow team engineers
- Designing and implementing test automation scripts
- Be a key participant in Agile Ceremonies such as System Demos, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
What you’ll need

Required
- Strong engineering experience in Data and Analytics technical domain
- Strong experience with ETL tools – ADF, DataStage or similar
- Strong experience in understanding the business requirements and developing data models.
- Strong experience in developing, publishing and scheduling Power BI reports as per the business requirements.
- Knowledge of database storage, collection and aggregation models, techniques, and technologies
- Experience with the Microsoft Azure platform with a focus on Analytics components (Azure Data Factory / Azure Databricks / Azure Data Lake / Azure SQL / Azure Synapse)
- Proficient in SQL and knowledge of other data transformation/ management languages (PowerQuery / Powershell / Python / R / Spark)
- Ability to integrate data from multiple data sources together performing required transformations using Power Query / DataFlows
Preferred, not required
- Experience with Netezza or Snowflake or MPP databases.
- Experience with data profiling and analysis
- Experience with source to target mapping
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps
- Experience working in Agile team
