The purpose of the Reporting Analyst role is the design, development, and maintenance of a Reports and dashboards sourced from Cloud data warehouse. The position is responsible for working to maintain the current data warehouse dashboards and reports. This role will interface with TI support teams and provide direct business user support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate business needs into high level technical designs for BI solutions. Apply rapid prototyping and iterative development methodologies as appropriate to ensure solution keeps pace with business needs.Design and implement new features and enhancements to the existing Cloud Datawarehouse.Develop and manage BI job scheduling and monitoring
- Manage performance on the dashboards.Design and develop Birst and QuickSight dashboards to meet business needs.Design and support Analysis Services OLAP cubes.Design and implement new features and enhancements to the existing dimensional OLAP data warehouse data model
- Participate in near and long-term capacity planning for BI.Participate in implementation and maintenance of hosting hardware and software including virtual technologies. Research and resolve data integrity and performance needs
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent experience required
- 2+ years Experience in Cloud Data Warehouse
- 2+ years Designing and coding ETL/Dashboard experience
- 2+ years Experience working with Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure
- 1+ years Experience in building entity relationship diagrams and Dimensional modeling
- 2+ years Experience creating documentation, data dictionaries, and diagrams that communicate overall architecture and detailed design to varied audiences
- 2+ years Experience in Dashboards and Scorecards building using tools such as AWS QuickSight, Tableau, Birst and or PowerBI.Design and development of KPIs.Familiarity with BI Architecture data modeling of dimensional OLAP cube solutions in SQL Server Analysis Services, including querying multi-dimensional data with MDX
- 2+ years Familiarity in designing and implementing dimensional Star Schemas with multiple fact groups in multi-dimensional OLAP databases and Columnar Databases
- Experience in AWS Cloud Services
- Experience working with dashboard tools such as Birst/Tableau/Power BI/Amazon QuickSight
- Successful track record in designing and developing of solutions using BI theories & best practices
- Knowledge of using AWS services such as AWS Redshift,S3 in building BI solutions
- Knowledge of prototyping & proof of concept mechanisms
- Effectively communicate with stakeholders, team members and across other technology teams
- Ability to adapt and adjust to quickly changing priorities to fulfill the needs or a rapidly growing organization
- Read and understand software requirements
- Ability to be a self-starter and dig in and learn new systems
