Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s Corporate Shared Services Payroll Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Senior Payroll Analyst.

The primary responsibility of this role is to support the accurate and timely payroll processing for 55,000+ team members across the North American Operations.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the person in this role will support the Corporate Shared Services Payroll department’s objective to focus on accurate and timely payroll processing and delivering an excellent team member experience.


What you’ll be doing

  • Deliver accurate Time & Labor files according to set deadlines for weekly and biweekly multi-state payrolls for a total of 55k team members across the US and Canada.
  • Partner with third-party vendors related to time and labor processing and delivery.
  • Research and resolve business partner and team member inquiries/issues providing high-quality customer service utilizing a case management system.
  • Practice process improvement techniques to identify, re-engineer and enhance processes to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Demonstrate aptitude in utilizing multiple systems (i.e., HR, Payroll, Time& Labor, General Ledger, etc.) to support a unique and complex organization.
  • Participate in projects as assigned.
  • Perform year-end Time & Labor activities to support new policies and statutory requirements.


What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or related discipline or equivalent professional work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in Time & Labor for a multi-FEIN/multi-state employer, with a minimum employee population of 5K+.
  • Knowledge of US wage and hour laws and ability to apply company policies, procedures, regulatory practices, and legal requirements.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate on a project team.
  • Experience with multiple HR/Payroll and Time & Labor systems, including UKG Pro, Workday, and Kronos (Workforce Central/Dimensions).


Added bonus if you have

  • Active American Payroll Association (APA) membership and CPP/FPC designations.
  • Experience working in the manufacturing industry.
  • Canadian Time & Labor/Payroll processing experience.
  • Experience working in a Shared Services environment.
