Who we’re looking for:
Toyota’s Quality Promotion Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Quality Promotion Engineer with a desire to learn, apply and deliver analytics tools.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, the person in this role will actively develop and implement appropriate data analytics tools that improve our vehicle development and address future customer quality needs.
What you’ll be doing

Develop and implement innovative quality systems and analytic tools that reduce lead time and improve efficiency through simulation, digitization, and application of data analytics.

Investigate and develop advanced algorithms using the appropriate data sets (CAN300/Warranty/PQS/and others) to predict customer trends and prescribe actions for product improvement.

Identify and develop innovative quality system solutions to delight customers and improve profitability using data analytics.

Plan and execute cross-division development projects and/or division working groups.

Provide technical guidance to the team using Toyota principles and quality system knowledge
-
Estimated travel: 10% (including international)
What you bring

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
-
Experience in vehicle design or evaluation
-
Understanding of Toyota processes for vehicle development & field quality improvement
-
Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders to achieve company objectives
-
Demonstrated ability to solve problems and lead cross-functional teams
What you may bring
-
Completion of a course in the “Accelerating Mobility” program
-
Experience programming with Python
-
Experience using data analytics tools (VBA, R, Alteryx, PySpark, Python &/or Power BI)
-
Web or mobile development experience
-
Experience translating customer requests into technical requirements
-
General knowledge on specific functional areas such as interior, functional parts, noise, powertrain, suspension, brakes, electric, hybrid systems and dynamic evaluation
-
Experience mentoring and coaching others
-
Completion of TBP Panel
