Data Research Analyst (Genius) Starting at 50-55K+

We are a fast-growing retailer of outdoor power equipment in N. Phoenix. This is a fun and friendly place to work with a small team of people who really care about what we do. In this newly created role, you will lead end-to-end in research, collecting and helping to transform data it into real solutions. We will count on your knowledge, experience, eye for detail, to design research methods, develop and manage our master data sets, create descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive models, and create understandable reporting and environments.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Direct, plan, coordinate, and execute research and program activities to achieve project outcomes.
  • Research, collect and collate raw data and its derivatives through various discovery channels including data collection, harvesting, and cleaning.
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis in dimensional context for evidence-based and data-informed decision making.
  • Execute business, market, product data-modeling and analysis including predictive and prescriptive modeling.
  • Establish base logical and physical database design, and database optimization for the company.
  • Develop and manage a centralized data dictionary for the entire team.
  • Develop baseline architectural practices, guidelines, principles for the organization.
  • Create documentation of requirements and result definitions, including charts, graphs, and logic model diagrams.

Requirements:

Considerable experience in varying data research and analysis methods either in business or academic settings. Demonstrated fluency in advanced analytic tools.

Education: A Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Sciences, Statistics, Mathematics, or Economics.

Technical Competencies: Data Modeling, Machine Learning, Data Harvesting and Scraping, Statistics, Coding Languages, Databases, and reporting technologies. Fluent in data modelling (including regression) tools. Skilled with SQL, Tableau, SAS, Python, or similar. The ability to manage large data sets.

Organization and Planning skills: The ability to work in a self-directed environment, set priorities, and manage multiple assignments and deliverables.

Communication Skills: The ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
