What You’ll Do:
As a Data Analytics intern you will:
- Help set up dashboards, presentations, and automated processes that enable marketers to know the results of marketing activities
- Work with the team to improve work processes, efficiency, and effectiveness
- Help onboard, train, and enable others to use the various tools and dashboards. Create documentation, training materials and maintain the knowledge base for the broader team
- Draw insights from data and present findings to stakeholders
- Promote best practices on data governance and data hygiene within the technology stack
- Identify opportunities to refine and improve processes and designs for continuous improvement of Marketing processes and systems
- Gain familiarity with common tools and technologies
- Propose and implement new solutions to achieve increased productivity, including but not limited to, the application of new methods and theories, automating workflows, creating data analytics deliverables, and testing & validation
Required Skills:
- Students currently enrolled in a degree program in pursuit of Data Analytics/Science, Business Information Systems, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Information Systems, or related field
- Ability to work for 12 consecutive weeks during the Summer 2023
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. and should not require visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including but not limited to, vlookup, pivot tables, and formulas
- Written and oral communication skills
- Ability and desire to provide breakthrough customer service experiences for internal clients
- Ability to interact and work with others on creative problem solving to find potential solutions
Valued Skills:
- Students within 1 year of graduation preferred (e.g., graduating between December 2023 through June 2024)
- To be successful in this role, ideal candidates will have one or more of the experiences below:
- Knowledge and use of visualization tools (Tableau/PowerBI)
- Experience and/or exposure to Alteryx solutions like Alteryx Designer
- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems like Salesforce
- Use methods to find out the return of investment or other functions for a project or projects.
- Salesforce, Google/Adobe Analytics
- R/Python/SQL experience
Compensation:
Alteryx is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary for this role is $30/hour. This position is also remote-friendly and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
