Position Summary:
Under limited supervision, this position would be responsible for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) specification management activities and functional user support to efficiently create and maintain high quality specifications for all active materials in support of business requirements. Key responsibilities include leading data audit initiatives, data councils by data area and management of continuous improvement opportunities related to assigned specification types (ING, WIP, PKG WIP, PKG, FG). In addition, position requirements include supporting SMEs/DFLs in training new hires and on-going proficiency development for team members as applicable, as well as ensuring functional users receive excellent change management support during the implementation of new data fields and changes to applicable processes. The ideal candidate will understand product and/or package development processes and data requirements based on applicable experience. The candidate will be able to connect those activities to the outlined specification management responsibilities to ensure efficiency and compliance to external and internal food safety and quality policies.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of Product Data Management (PDM) guidelines and build excellent PDM technical skills to support functional system users as a subject matter expert.
- Conduct accuracy checks of data for assigned specification types across THS network (Ingredient, Packaging, WIP, and/or Finished Goods)
- Identify missing or outdated data and work with functional data owners to address gaps and ensure compliance for PDM owned data in alignment with THS data governance initiatives
- Create and publish monthly specification KPIs that include audit findings and corrective actions
- Provide project management support for data input for newly added fields with appropriate functional owners
- Support future PLM systems Merger, Acquisition and/or Divestiture project activity as applicable
- Partner with functional users to review and shepherd data workflow activities to ensure effective and efficient creation and change management for speed to market and best in class customer support
- Partner with SMEs & functional users to maintain applicable PDM functional training materials across network and communicate via SharePoint and/or MS Teams
- Conduct refresher training with current users based on solicited input
- Conduct training on new functionality and/or support functional SME to do so when applicable
- Partner with cross functional teams on process improvements related to specification data management across multiple categories
- Provide daily technical service support for on-going PDM user requests as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 5-10 years’ experience in Product Development, Labeling, Regulatory, Data Science/Governance and/or Project Management/Commercialization
- Customer service orientation
