Opportunity

We are seeking an Associate to support Twin Medical Economics and Analytics with data driven financial, clinical and operational insights to tangibly impact our business. Your primary focus will be quantifying the medical and pharmacy savings generated by our programs and articulating where these outcomes are achieved. You will leverage data from multiple sources, proactively collaborate with the Data Intelligence, Finance, Business Development, and Clinical teams, research and develop analytical and statistical methods and models, draw conclusions and socialize insights in a clear, concise, and easy to understand manner, and refine analyses and outputs over time. In addition, you help refine our client value proposition and will support a variety of efforts related to maximizing revenue, mitigating risk, and reducing costs. You will join a growing corporate and business team, playing a key role in determining, executing on, and measuring the success of Twin’s global financial and operating strategy as we scale rapidly in the US and abroad. The role will report to the Vice President of Medical Economics & Analytics.

You can easily make sense of complex, high-quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to solve problems through structured thinking. You enjoy wearing multiple hats and are excited to take on responsibilities that might not be within your job description. Lastly, you are self-sufficient, intellectually curious and take ownership for everything you do.

Responsibilities

  • Quantify financial savings and clinical outcomes of Twin’s products and services using best-practice analytic & statistical methods to inform Pricing and refine client value proposition as it relates to Medical and Pharmacy expense reduction
  • Build and maintain prospective and retrospective ROI models to support Commercial strategy and business development efforts
  • Build and maintain model of Twin’s Average Revenue per Unit (ARPU) to identify areas of opportunity and direct operational planning
  • Partner with key stakeholders to study patient-level outcomes and develop wholistic reporting across various domains, including: clinical success, financial impact, billing, and operations
  • Assist in the development of various patient stratification models and predictive analytics to maximize program success and inform internal strategy
  • Partner with Data Intelligence to build and execute against data warehousing strategy, with a particular focus on staging of medical and pharmacy claims; integration with clinical and administrative data assets; and development of reference tables and standard definitions
  • Assist in or lead a variety of complex analytic projects leveraging data from multiple sources

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of healthcare analytics experience at a health plan, provider group, consulting firm, or healthcare vendor
  • Undergraduate degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics/Actuarial Services, Biostatistics, or equivalent concentration
  • Technical qualifications
    • Deep understanding of Medical and/or Pharmacy claims data
    • Proficient with SQL/SAS to extract, summarize, and analyze large data sets
    • Excel expert
    • Experience with data intelligence software such as Tableau or PowerBI is a plus
  • Key skill qualifications
    • Ability to synthesize insights and communicate in a clear, concise, easy to understand manner
    • Strong critical thinking and active listening skills to infer business needs, grasp underlying context, and translate goals to effective solutions
    • Extremely detail oriented and focused on ensuring accuracy in your deliverables, as many items will be shared directly with our Senior Leadership Team, CFO, and CEO
    • Strong communication skills and business acumen, effectively managing multiple stakeholders (and their expectations) and translating for a range of audiences
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize work assignments
