Role: The Senior Business Analyst (SBA) will play an integral part in improving digital operations to enhance the research processes and systems to collect ESG data and insights. The role involves business analysis, requirement definition, testing, and implementation. The SBA will successfully release new digital solutions to research teams to accelerate growth and improve process efficiency. The candidate will work closely with the Digital Transformation Project Manager, Digital Product Managers and Digital Product Owners to enhance organizational capabilities. A successful candidate will adapt to our dynamic pace, leverage current technology and processes, build new processes and systems to facilitate the optimal performance of the global research team. The role requires analytical and creative thinking, process and project management skills, and collaboration and communication to be successful.
Responsibilities:
• Contributes to the vision for Research Databases across research teams
• Acts as a liaison between Research teams and the ICT team
• Contributes to delivering team’s Research Databases agenda through the analysis, review, enhancement, and documentation of information retrieval processes/systems by overseeing the roadmap from the business side
• Business analysis and requirement definition
Methodical investigation and documentation of crucial research processes, business objectives, KPIs, and underlying data and information
Define requirements for improving processes and systems, reducing efforts to collect essential management information and optimizing the research process
Collaborative creation and iteration of viable specifications and acceptance criteria for deployment of research databases
Negotiation and decision-making when several courses of action are possible
Management of requirements throughout the life cycle of the software, system, processes, products, or services
• Business process testing and implementation management
Planning, execution and reporting of business process tests and usability evaluations
Definition and management of the process for deploying and integrating new digital capabilities into the business in a way that is sensitive to and fully compatible with research operations
Liaise with other digital partners in the organization to ensure digital solutions fit in the ecosystem of tools
• Organizational capability development
Leadership and implementation support to assess organizational capabilities and to identify, prioritize and implement improvements
Delivery of an integrated people, process and technology solution for improved organizational performance in line with strategic objectives
• Benefits management
Identifying and implementing the actions needed to optimize the business impact of individual and combined benefits, and quantification and confirmation achieved benefits
Communicates progress on the Research Databases roadmap to senior leaders
• Acts as a digital transformation ambassador and coordinates change management initiatives
• Resolves any issues and instigates corrective issues
• Manages and mentor business analysts as appropriate
Qualifications:
• At least six years of experience in business analysis, process mapping, process improvement, and project management, of which three years are on requirements mapping involving technology and management systems
• Master’s degree and a specialization, coursework or certification in business analysis
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, under tight timelines while maintaining high accuracy and output
• Solution-oriented and proactive with confidence to make decisions that impact the success of assigned work
• Strong written and oral communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders from multiple teams at various levels
• Expertise in business process management from ideation to implementation
• Proven project management track record to deliver projects within the specified time, budget and quality
• Excellent quantitative analysis skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including high proficiency in Word, Excel & PowerPoint and modern software solutions
• Knowledge of SQL querying is required, and exposure to Python will be an advantage
• Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn in a constantly evolving and fast-paced environment
Experience of Level: 6 years or more
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in IT / Computer Science, MBA/PGDM/PGDBM – IT
