Job Location: Hyderabad/Secunderabad
The Sr Manager, Analytics & Reporting is integral in providing quality reporting and analytics needs to partners while leading functional sub-teams. You will be expected to understand, translate operationally and fulfil partner requests using available resources. Further, the role requires providing coaching and mentorship to the analysts under his/her team.
What You’ll Do
Although what you do day-to-day may vary greatly, the general goal and focuses include the following:
- Help build a phenomenal team: directly lead a growing team of technical data analysts, crafting the direction of a new and constantly evolving role at Uber
- Build partnerships with other Uber functions and deliver on their tasks
- Review data models, queries, and ad hoc data analysis to keep the nerve center of our teams running at full speed
- Build tools and systems for teams across geographies to help them use all of Uber’s data
- Proactively develop new metrics to identify trends, generate insights and add new value to our partners
- Define, build, improve, and automate reporting methods
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of work experience in an analytics role within tech or consulting domain; management experience is helpful
- An outstanding understanding of databases, data relationships, and data integrity
- Premier leadership skills – you can inspire, lead, and nurture young analytical talent
- Self-starter demeanour and ability to exercise judgment and tackle difficult problems without direct supervision
- Good communication skills and attention to detail; accuracy is a must!
- A preference for quality over quantity – you get the math right and seek to build the right solution; you like a team that holds each other to a high bar
- Strong SQL experience required
Development experience in at least one scripting language a plus (Python and/or R preferred) - Background in a shared services environment doing reporting and/or analytics a plus; more so if experienced supervising or directing a team of analysts
What You’ll Need
- Engineering or Engineering+MBA; background in data analytics, management information systems
- Experience Leading a team of 10+ Analysts, responsible for results across geographies
- Highly skilled on SQL, Python and GCP
- Extensive experience in building and maintaining dashboards using visualization tools like google sheets, data studio, tableau etc
