We’re looking for a Data Quality Monitoring Analyst to:

  • To define, document and deliver Data Quality Monitoring to the Reference Data Operation group and enable seamless transition from project phase to run the bank
  • To define, document and run the target operating model and processes for the Data Quality Management team within Reference Data Operations
  • To deliver requirements to the wider Transformation Program within Reference Data Operations
  • Build effective relationships and communication channels with key stakeholders across Group Operations Data Management, Group DMO and Reference Data Operations
  • Ability to turn data quality metrics into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities within the current Data Management Framework and Data Quality Monitoring processes.

Key responsibilities:

Project Delivery

  • Responsible for leading, coaching and managing an effective team of Data Quality specialists ensuring an excellent standard for all aspects of delivery
  • Working with the Project Manager responsible for the Data Quality Monitoring delivery and enable transition to run the bank activities
  • Drive development of control gap plans to expand the Data Quality Monitoring coverage and track progress against it.
  • Produce documentation of current state analysis
  • Support design and documentation of the target operating model, controls and new processes
  • Where applicable new build rules and remediate exceptions
  • Enhance existing controls and processes inclusive of remediation activities
  • Deliver training on the Data Quality Monitoring methodology and standards to drive the effective adoption and supervision
  • Produce management updates and reports to communicate the progress for the various governance forums

Business as usual

  • Responsible for ensuring the team is following the implemented processes and data quality assurance standards
  • Follow the implemented standard operating procedures
  • Good understanding of the underlying data model and owns data quality remediation programs to resolve specific issues
  • Understands how reference data impacts downstream functions, processes and the client
  • Faces off to internal consumers on data quality related queries
  • Provides data quality metrics that are used by the Service Delivery Manager to represent the service to the Data Owner and Service Owner
  • Identifies new opportunities for data quality improvement that are reviewed with the Data Owner
  • Supports / executes change activity where required and requested from Management

Your expertise

Your expertise

  • At least 8 years of experience in Financial Services, Consultancy or Data within other Industries
  • Experience in Instrument, Account or External Legal Entity domains
  • Alteryx or any DQ technology experience (Tableau)
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to think out of the box and is easily adaptable to changes
  • Collaborative mind-set with the ability to bring teams to work together towards a common goal, listen to different views and facilitate decision making in a proactive manner
  • Ability to work under constant pressure to tight deadlines and deliver high quality output
  • Ability to conduct full change lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design
  • Good understanding of operational processes
  • Strong organization, project management skills with emphasis on timely delivery, risk management and stakeholder management, specifically, extensive experience of interacting and influencing senior management
  • Strong team leadership skills
  • Experience in working as part of a multi-cultural team and able to collaborate with all levels within the organization
  • Excellent decision making and problem solving ability, with a “can do” attitude
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas; Data Quality Monitoring, Data Profiling, Data Governance is an advantage
