We’re looking for a research analyst associate to:
- Support the broader ESG team with company and industry-specific analyses within ESG, in frequent collaboration with sector teams / covering analysts across the research department, globally
- Build & maintain datasets – “eco-indicators” or regulation for example – relevant to sector and company trends
- Help in the drafting of research reports, other documents and content on a regular basis
- Conduct ESG factor/ issue analysis (e.g., using ESG team published material) and help translate such analyses into actionable investment opinions
- Explore ESG information and financial data in such a way as to help provide insight on investment risk
- Remain current on market developments in the area of sustainability, including broad sustainability themes, to help frame investment strategies
- Assist in maintenance of key team procedural manuals/systems and procedures
Your team
You’ll be working with the Global ESG Research team which is primarily based in London, New York and Hong Kong, with representation in other countries as well. We provide research reports and other content on ESG & Sustainability issues. This helps investors in making their investment decisions. As a research analyst associate, you’ll play an important role in helping the team to analyse a fast-moving Sustainability landscape and write detailed research reports.
Your expertise
- Equity research analyst with ideally 3-5 years of experience
- Fluent in English
- Comfortable building/working with large data sets and have excellent attention to detail
- Able to digest large amounts of written material and identify what is likely to be most important or relevant
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel / Power Point, along with strong data visualisation skills; knowledge of Python desirable
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex topics in a simple manner – both in person and on paper
- Knowledge of of ESG & sustainability factors desirable
