Your role
Do you have a knack for designing and implementing state-of-the-art data driven solutions to provide quality insights for service management and improvement? We are looking for a Data Science Developer to;
- Work with stakeholders throughout the TOC I&P organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
- Mine and analyze data from various data sources to drive service optimization and improvement and business strategies.
- Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
- Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
- Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize stakeholder experiences, revenue generation ( directly or indirectly) and other business outcomes.
- Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
- Develop processes to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
- Partner and collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders across TOC I&P, Engineering and Application Development & Support.
Your team
You will be working as part of the I&P team, where we develop and execute & manage infrastructure for UBS Technology Operations Center. As part of this team you will be expected to develop data science based solutions using state-of-the-art technologies and algorithms. You will utilize your experience to drive and implement a wide variety of Data driven use-cases, in strong collaboration with internal and external teams globally.
Your expertise
- You are a full stack data science developer having experience in all 4 parts of data science development which includes data developer, ML development, Data transformation & visualization / reporting
- At least 5 + years of data science development experience and total 8 years and above IT experience
- Strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
- Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, Scala, SQL etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
- Experience with distributed data/computing tools: Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, HBase, Spark, Sqoop, Oozie etc.
- Experience working with and creating data architectures.
- Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
- Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
- A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
