Job Location: Los Angeles, CA
Under the supervision of the Manager of Institutional Research and Data Analytics, assists the Graduate Division in maintaining and analyzing the data and systems necessary to make sound administrative and academic decisions related to graduate education at the University. Incumbent performs user and data-driven research to make recommendations to enhance business processes, workflow, policy, and systems impacting graduate education at the University. Responsibilities include: conducting data analysis to support various functions of the Graduate Division; assisting in the design and implementation of research into issues affecting graduate education at the University; collaborating with and providing user training for other staff to produce reports on aspects of graduate education; reviewing data prior to loading into database and verifying it for accuracy. Also responds to requests from campus departments, Office of the Chancellor, UCOP and other organizations for reports and information relevant to graduate academic planning & research.

1. Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodology, especially as it relates to higher education and graduate student development settings.

2. Extensive training and experience in complex data analysis, documentation and data modeling.

4. Working knowledge and experience building and using web-based data dashboards and visualizations such as Tableau.
