Job Overview And Responsibilities
The position has both strategic and tactical responsibilities for Data Science. This role will drive projects in the Data Science space resulting in incremental revenue or improving efficiency. Role requires work with multiple stakeholders leading and managing initiatives that leverage data, modeling, predictive analytics to drive incremental revenue and/or customer experience.
Must be quantitatively orientated, results focused and of a test-and-learn” mindset. Individuals with strong communication and interpersonal skills, customer and loyalty experience and willingness to take initiative and ownership will be successful. This role requires business intuition and a working knowledge of analytical tools. This role reports to Head of Data Science and Enterprise Analytics (India Knowledge Center) and has responsibility of leading a team to successfully deliver projects.
- Lead projects ensuring quality, timeliness and effectiveness of analysis and solutions
- Collaborate with internal divisions, to drive value through evaluating product performance, offer optimization, pricing and personalization
- Be a consultant to business stakeholders – provide in-depth analyses, develop business cases and recommendations for innovations to address business opportunities
- Collaborate with internal and external teams, help business owners make faster, smarter decisions
- Socialize key initiatives with stakeholders
- Create and deliver presentations as required
- Challenge internal team on advanced analytical concepts – lead and guide modeling techniques, approaches and methodologies
- Ensure alignment and prioritization with business objectives and initiatives
- Manage a team of data and analytics experts
- Hire, train, retain and challenge best-in-class data science and analytics professionals

Required
- Bachelor’s degree with equivalent work experience required
- 9+ years of experience in building, motivating and coaching analytical teams required
- Proven experience managing multiple projects effectively required
- Proven experience in delivering value with use of data required
- Extremely strong business and data analysis skills
- Deep understanding of statistical concepts combined with strong business acumen required
- Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis and algorithms in a clear, precise and actionable manner required
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills required
- Proven track record of presenting complex analysis to senior leadership required
- Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
- Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Preferred
- Master’s Degree in a quantitative field like Math, Statistics, Operations Research and/or MBA preferred
