Primary Responsibilities:

  • Act as the voice of the customer in anticipating customer needs, eliciting, and analyzing information for development of business requirements at a high velocity
  • Understand product vision, roadmap, and product growth opportunities to support product management to the level that you can explain it/communicate it to others
  • Translate conceptual customer requirements into capabilities and functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers & product team by decomposing business capabilities into features and features into user stories
  • Document Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) acceptance criteria
  • Define and document/communicate business requirements that are complete, consistent, comprehensive, feasible, and conform to standards, in a collaborative environment
  • Develop and execute business analysis plans for programs
  • Actively participate in daily meetings, backlog refinement and prioritization, defect management and retrospective activities to support business agility within the organization
  • Provide input on release planning and expectations for delivery of new functionalities
  • Support the product owner by discussing business and technical impacts of and dependencies related to priority decisions
  • Support change and acceptance of change. Be a change agent for others, helping them to accept and deal with change
  • Facilitating stakeholder collaboration
  • Own and manage issues and questions related to the business requirements throughout the product lifecycle
  • Perform user acceptance testing/ QA of solutions to ensure features and functions have been enabled and optimized
  • Support operational readiness activities to ensure that necessary training and policy and procedure updates have occurred
  • Review work performed by self and others to provide recommendations for quality improvement by analyzing and verifying requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or related field of study OR 5+ years of experience as a business analyst eliciting and documenting business requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as a business analyst with proven experience eliciting and documenting business requirements
  • Intermediate proficiency level with MS Office Applications
  • Experience working directly with customer base/Consumer experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Agile Certification (such as Scrum Alliance or Scrum.org)
  • Business Analysis Certifications: IIBA CBAP or CCBA (or others)
  • 2+ years of Experience with Agile principles and practices working on an Agile team, demonstrating advanced knowledge (Kanban, SCRUM, SAFe, Lean, etc.)
  • Experience working in the Healthcare Industry
  • Advanced experience using Agile application lifecycle management software (ex: Rally, JIRA) utilizing boards, reports, views to support traceability and strategic planning across teams

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary/hourly range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary/hourly range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
