This is an exciting role on the UnitedHealthcare Global Strategy and Risk Management team supporting UnitedHealthcare’s Global Markets businesses, including UHG Brazil, Banmedica (Colombia, Chile, and Peru) and Lusiadas (Portugal). Focusing on supplier data security, the role works with internal Global Market Information Security, Procurement, and Compliance teams, enterprise risk teams, and external suppliers. The goal is to understand current data security environments, then design and improve supplier assessment, remediation, and optimization processes to reduce data security risk to UnitedHealthcare and its members. Solutions must balance UHG corporate standards, local market requirements, country-specific laws and regulations, and be designed to be operated by the respective local teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as a business process subject matter expert, aligning data security technical functions with compliance, and procurement business processes
- Collaborate with internal partners to understand current business processes and supplier data risk, then support the design and implementation of related improvements to ensure adequate supplier controls are in place
- Create reporting processes and outputs for multiple Global Market businesses, creating actionable information for individual markets as well as a comprehensive view of all markets for leadership visibility
- Optimize and streamline various local source systems, technologies, databases, and data collections across all geographies
- Facilitate calls/meetings with internal and external stakeholders to ensure process alignment, security assessment, remediation plan compliance, and actionable reporting
- Perform root cause analysis on existing processes, identify improvement opportunities, and drive implementation based on the dynamic nature of the technical environment, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
- Clearly communicate complex information in an organized and concise manner to multiple audiences
- Create and maintain business process documentation, such as Standard Operating Procedures and process flows
Hours are M-F 8am -5pm

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Security, Supply Chain, related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of business analysis, project coordination/management, business intelligence, or data analysis experience
- Experience with process improvement, workflows, benchmarking, and Root Cause Analysis
- Experience working in a matrixed environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, SharePoint, Forms)
- Proficiency with one or more reporting tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or others
- Written and verbal proficiency in Spanish
Preferred Qualifications:
- IT audit and remediation experience
- Knowledge of security control frameworks, such as ISO 270001
- Knowledge of privacy and regulatory standards, such as GDPR in Europe and LGPD in Brazil
- Solid soft skills (e.g. communication, interpersonal, collaborative, resilient)
- Team player and high performer that excels in a small team environment
- Excellent organizational, analytical, time-management, and problem-solving skills
- Conversational in Portuguese
