As a Sr. Business Process Analyst you will fill a critical function to the Naviguard Quality team by assessing the execution of complex processes, by providing in depth analysis to issues and trends brought forth, and by identifying solutions that will allow the Operations staff to continue to learn grow. This position requires a motivated self-starter with a blend of Customer Service, Negotiation, and Complex Process expertise. Additionally, the right candidate will have a blend of claims processing knowledge, the ability to solve moderately complex problems and/or conduct moderately complex analyses, a strong analytical communication base, and leadership skills. To be successful in this role, candidate will be able to work with minimal guidance to assess and interpret Operations needs and requirements and will be able to identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems. This position will report to the Director of Quality

Primary Responsibilities:
- Subject Matter Expert on Naviguard operations processes
- Conducts complex Quality Case Assessments for Naviguard Operations staff with the goal of identifying solutions to non-standard issues; focus on Negotiation strategy effectiveness and outcomes, and Provider Liaison workflows
- Communicates findings and complex issue analysis related to assessments to Operations leaders
- Provides explanations and information to Operations leaders in order to support them in helping the Naviguard team continue to develop and grow
- Translates trends and findings through the Quality Assessment process into actionable next steps
- Quality reporting, analysis, and audits and for developing plans and programs to support continuous quality improvement
- Provides in-depth provider strategy evaluations based on closed case results, and root cause analysis based on findings to provide feedback and guidance to Operations and Provider Liaison leadership
- Partners with Process Analyst to serve as a logic and clarity reviewer for all written processes, prior to implementation
- Assesses and/or documents the outcomes of business decisions as related to the work completed by Operations staff
- Acts as a resource for others with less experience
- Works independently to manage competing priorities and requests
- Supports collaboration between process users and Quality

Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or related experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience conducting compliance, financial, and/or operational audits
- 2+ years of experience with process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and evaluation of business processes
- 2+ years of relevant quality assurance or process improvement experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of negotiation experience or exposure
- Experience with Naviguard / UnitedHealth Group systems, particularly member services, claims processing, or provider services
- Excellent organizational, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated individual with a passion for helping consumers navigate the complicated healthcare system
- Excellent communication, time/project management, problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
