Positions in this function are accountable for a broad range of reporting, analytics and data solutions. This position offers the opportunity to join a department that is working to dramatically improve the healthcare experience.

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S., preferably in CST or EST as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Analyze health care spending and utilization to identify key trend drivers and perform root cause analyses to evaluate medical cost savings opportunities
• Complete analyses to project/measure the financial impact of initiatives
• Develop reports to track ongoing performance of clinical programs
• Collaborate with the clinical program team on appropriate data sources and analytic approaches for identifying key trend drivers and evaluating potential interventions to impact trends
• Communicate progress, findings, and analysis in written, oral and graphical form
• Prepare exhibits for presentation to key stakeholders, advance projects and transform data into actionable outcomes
• Develop and maintain project plans including written specifications of tasks, expected timelines, and deliverables consistent with the team deadlines
• Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to effectively expand team capabilities and advance projects more
• Anticipate customer needs and proactively develop solutions to meet them
• Solve complex problems and develop innovative solutions

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in data science, medical informatics, statistics, health services research, economics, or other relevant quantitative field
• 5+ years of experience performing analyses and interpreting data to support program ideation, design, implementation, management and evaluation
• 3+ years of experience using SQL
• Experience working as an analyst in Healthcare Industry (Understanding of Claims Processing)
• Experience with medical terminology: CPT Codes, Diagnosis Codes, Rev Codes, DRGs, etc.
• Experience using large datasets, Members Eligibility and Providers Demographic data
• Experience presenting analytic results to non-technical audience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of SAS programming experience
• Intermediate user experience in MS Excel (trends, charts, pivot tables)
• Understanding of clinical management activities of a large managed healthcare organization
• Experience with statistical analyses and data visualization tools

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600.
