A leader in nursing education for more than 40 years, the University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Nursing is doing MORE to ensure a healthier future for all. With a new, permanent home at UCF’s Academic Health Sciences Center, we will have more space to prepare more Knight nurses with academic excellence and more opportunity to impact more lives with innovative, interdisciplinary research.
The Opportunity:
The Business Data Analyst II in the College of Nursing will collaborate with interdepartmental UCF resources and external software contractors to plan, develop, maintain, and support the College of Nursing data information systems. This position will ensure that the data information systems used to manage admissions, advising, enrollment, clinical placement, faculty information, and evaluations are utilized to maximum effectiveness and efficiency and support the university and college strategic plans and goals.
Responsibilities:

College System Administrator for information databases in the College of Nursing including but not limited to Project Concert and NCAPS.

Operationalize and optimize reporting functionality.

Draft policies and procedures relating to data information systems usage.
-
Establish business processes for functions and usage within database system products.
-
Establish and maintain security protocols for system access and perform regular audits to ensure security compliance.
-
Manage personally identifiable information and medical data and adhere to regulations and laws in safeguarding this data.

Orient and provide ongoing support for End Users on the use of systems, feature innovations, and troubleshooting.

Troubleshoot and resolve user interface issues and data integration issues.
-
Efficiently manage large amounts of data using spreadsheets and databases.
-
Performs data analysis and assists in report preparation for college reporting to internal and external bodies.

Generate reports and supply data as needed to execute all listed duties and as requested by administration or faculty.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 6 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
Preferred Qualifications:

Five years of relevant experience in an academic setting.

Work experience in nursing or health-related profession academic program.

Experience working with large data sets.
-
Demonstrated experience in prioritizing competing tasks.

Demonstrated ability to meet recurring, unique, and changing project deadlines.
-
Demonstrated experience in maintaining data security and integrity (Certification of such an additional plus).
